Reisdetails van 17 uur in de trein
Omschrijving:
17 uur in de trein,
Maar eerst waar ik gebleven was, Pingyao, ooit het financiële handelscentrum van China. Eeuwen terug in de tijd, de oude stadsmuren om de nauwe straatjes. Omdat er geen auto's mogen rijden zijn er golfkarretjes die mensen vervoeren.
Ons Guesthouse is geweldig, een rustige binnenplaats met onze kamers er omheen. Sommige hebben nog een oude bedstee om in te slapen.
We slenteren wat rond, helaas zijn er honderden toeristische winkeltjes, maar er zijn gelukkig nog genoeg oude koopmanshuizen. Cultuur is hier bewaard gebleven.
Als excursie zijn we naar het fort van de familie Wang geweest. Hun bezit was 250.000 vierkante meter groot. Talloze gedecoreerde binnenplaatsen. Huizen ingericht met prachtige Chineese kunst en oude meubels.
Van iemand in mijn groep heb ik een Chinees vlaggetje gekregen vastgeplakt met een pleister aan een selfiestick, zo ben ik goed te zien. Een dag later krijg ik een stok met een grote gele hand erop. Haha. Als reisbegeleidster loop ik voorop en ben ik goed te volgen. Ook zijn we naar Zhang Bi geweest, een oud kasteel waar we in tunnels hebben gelopen. Het oude verdedigingsnetwerk. Gelukkig waren de tunnels niet smal en laag.
En dan een nieuwe ervaring voor mij; met de hogesnelheidstrein in 3 uur naar Xi 'an. Gemiddeld 245 km per uur. Xi 'an was ooit hoofdstad van China in de tijd van de zijderoute. De invloeden zijn nog duidelijk te zien.
Een moslimwijk vol restaurantjes, zeer zeer druk, schapenvlees geroosterd op takjes van een boom. Keiharde muziek, gesluierde meisjes/vrouwen, jongens/mannen met t traditionele moslimpetje op. De grote moskee ligt midden in het centrum van alle restaurantjes.
De bezienswaardigheid van Xi 'an is het terracottaleger. Het leger wat onder de grond ligt en door een ploegende boer in 1974 bij toeval ontdekt is. Drie grote hallen herbergen kleien poppen op ware mensen grote met ieder een ander gezicht. Zij beschermen het graf van de eerste keizer van China.
Paarden van klei en dit alles in prachtige kleuren. De kleuren vervagen als het in aanraking komt met zuurstof/ buitenlucht. Maar de vele foto's die ervan gemaakt zijn is geweldig om te zien.
En nu dus bijna in Chengdu na een treinreis van 17 uur.
De groep Belgen is rustig, ik heb er maar 5. Drie hebben ervoor gekozen de nacht door te brengen in de luxere zachte slaapplaats wagon waar je met 4 slaapt en een deur dicht kan doen.
Ik heb de nacht doorgebracht in de harde slaapplaats met 3 bedden boven elkaar en een open wagon. Totaal 132 bedden. Gezellig maar typisch Chinees. Een luxe van 3 wasbakken waar menig Chinees naast tanden poetsen ook rochels in spuugt. Dit alles met een schrappend geluid in de keel en dan flink lawaai maken met het uitspugen.
Gelukkig is dat nog niet veranderd. Daarom hou ik zo van het land China.

Omschrijving:
17 uur in de trein,
Maar eerst waar ik gebleven was, Pingyao, ooit het financiële handelscentrum van China. Eeuwen terug in de tijd, de oude stadsmuren om de nauwe straatjes. Omdat er geen auto's mogen rijden zijn er golfkarretjes die mensen vervoeren.
Ons Guesthouse is geweldig, een rustige binnenplaats met onze kamers er omheen. Sommige hebben nog een oude bedstee om in te slapen.
We slenteren wat rond, helaas zijn er honderden toeristische winkeltjes, maar er zijn gelukkig nog genoeg oude koopmanshuizen. Cultuur is hier bewaard gebleven.
Als excursie zijn we naar het fort van de familie Wang geweest. Hun bezit was 250.000 vierkante meter groot. Talloze gedecoreerde binnenplaatsen. Huizen ingericht met prachtige Chineese kunst en oude meubels.
Van iemand in mijn groep heb ik een Chinees vlaggetje gekregen vastgeplakt met een pleister aan een selfiestick, zo ben ik goed te zien. Een dag later krijg ik een stok met een grote gele hand erop. Haha. Als reisbegeleidster loop ik voorop en ben ik goed te volgen. Ook zijn we naar Zhang Bi geweest, een oud kasteel waar we in tunnels hebben gelopen. Het oude verdedigingsnetwerk. Gelukkig waren de tunnels niet smal en laag.
En dan een nieuwe ervaring voor mij; met de hogesnelheidstrein in 3 uur naar Xi 'an. Gemiddeld 245 km per uur. Xi 'an was ooit hoofdstad van China in de tijd van de zijderoute. De invloeden zijn nog duidelijk te zien.
Een moslimwijk vol restaurantjes, zeer zeer druk, schapenvlees geroosterd op takjes van een boom. Keiharde muziek, gesluierde meisjes/vrouwen, jongens/mannen met t traditionele moslimpetje op. De grote moskee ligt midden in het centrum van alle restaurantjes.
De bezienswaardigheid van Xi 'an is het terracottaleger. Het leger wat onder de grond ligt en door een ploegende boer in 1974 bij toeval ontdekt is. Drie grote hallen herbergen kleien poppen op ware mensen grote met ieder een ander gezicht. Zij beschermen het graf van de eerste keizer van China.
Paarden van klei en dit alles in prachtige kleuren. De kleuren vervagen als het in aanraking komt met zuurstof/ buitenlucht. Maar de vele foto's die ervan gemaakt zijn is geweldig om te zien.
En nu dus bijna in Chengdu na een treinreis van 17 uur.
De groep Belgen is rustig, ik heb er maar 5. Drie hebben ervoor gekozen de nacht door te brengen in de luxere zachte slaapplaats wagon waar je met 4 slaapt en een deur dicht kan doen.
Ik heb de nacht doorgebracht in de harde slaapplaats met 3 bedden boven elkaar en een open wagon. Totaal 132 bedden. Gezellig maar typisch Chinees. Een luxe van 3 wasbakken waar menig Chinees naast tanden poetsen ook rochels in spuugt. Dit alles met een schrappend geluid in de keel en dan flink lawaai maken met het uitspugen.
Gelukkig is dat nog niet veranderd. Daarom hou ik zo van het land China.

Omschrijving:
17 uur in de trein,
Maar eerst waar ik gebleven was, Pingyao, ooit het financiële handelscentrum van China. Eeuwen terug in de tijd, de oude stadsmuren om de nauwe straatjes. Omdat er geen auto's mogen rijden zijn er golfkarretjes die mensen vervoeren.
Ons Guesthouse is geweldig, een rustige binnenplaats met onze kamers er omheen. Sommige hebben nog een oude bedstee om in te slapen.
We slenteren wat rond, helaas zijn er honderden toeristische winkeltjes, maar er zijn gelukkig nog genoeg oude koopmanshuizen. Cultuur is hier bewaard gebleven.
Als excursie zijn we naar het fort van de familie Wang geweest. Hun bezit was 250.000 vierkante meter groot. Talloze gedecoreerde binnenplaatsen. Huizen ingericht met prachtige Chineese kunst en oude meubels.
Van iemand in mijn groep heb ik een Chinees vlaggetje gekregen vastgeplakt met een pleister aan een selfiestick, zo ben ik goed te zien. Een dag later krijg ik een stok met een grote gele hand erop. Haha. Als reisbegeleidster loop ik voorop en ben ik goed te volgen. Ook zijn we naar Zhang Bi geweest, een oud kasteel waar we in tunnels hebben gelopen. Het oude verdedigingsnetwerk. Gelukkig waren de tunnels niet smal en laag.
En dan een nieuwe ervaring voor mij; met de hogesnelheidstrein in 3 uur naar Xi 'an. Gemiddeld 245 km per uur. Xi 'an was ooit hoofdstad van China in de tijd van de zijderoute. De invloeden zijn nog duidelijk te zien.
Een moslimwijk vol restaurantjes, zeer zeer druk, schapenvlees geroosterd op takjes van een boom. Keiharde muziek, gesluierde meisjes/vrouwen, jongens/mannen met t traditionele moslimpetje op. De grote moskee ligt midden in het centrum van alle restaurantjes.
De bezienswaardigheid van Xi 'an is het terracottaleger. Het leger wat onder de grond ligt en door een ploegende boer in 1974 bij toeval ontdekt is. Drie grote hallen herbergen kleien poppen op ware mensen grote met ieder een ander gezicht. Zij beschermen het graf van de eerste keizer van China.
Paarden van klei en dit alles in prachtige kleuren. De kleuren vervagen als het in aanraking komt met zuurstof/ buitenlucht. Maar de vele foto's die ervan gemaakt zijn is geweldig om te zien.
En nu dus bijna in Chengdu na een treinreis van 17 uur.
De groep Belgen is rustig, ik heb er maar 5. Drie hebben ervoor gekozen de nacht door te brengen in de luxere zachte slaapplaats wagon waar je met 4 slaapt en een deur dicht kan doen.
Ik heb de nacht doorgebracht in de harde slaapplaats met 3 bedden boven elkaar en een open wagon. Totaal 132 bedden. Gezellig maar typisch Chinees. Een luxe van 3 wasbakken waar menig Chinees naast tanden poetsen ook rochels in spuugt. Dit alles met een schrappend geluid in de keel en dan flink lawaai maken met het uitspugen.
Gelukkig is dat nog niet veranderd. Daarom hou ik zo van het land China.

Reisdetails van 17 uur in de trein
Omschrijving:
17 uur in de trein,
Maar eerst waar ik gebleven was, Pingyao, ooit het financiële handelscentrum van China. Eeuwen terug in de tijd, de oude stadsmuren om de nauwe straatjes. Omdat er geen auto's mogen rijden zijn er golfkarretjes die mensen vervoeren.
Ons Guesthouse is geweldig, een rustige binnenplaats met onze kamers er omheen. Sommige hebben nog een oude bedstee om in te slapen.
We slenteren wat rond, helaas zijn er honderden toeristische winkeltjes, maar er zijn gelukkig nog genoeg oude koopmanshuizen. Cultuur is hier bewaard gebleven.
Als excursie zijn we naar het fort van de familie Wang geweest. Hun bezit was 250.000 vierkante meter groot. Talloze gedecoreerde binnenplaatsen. Huizen ingericht met prachtige Chineese kunst en oude meubels.
Van iemand in mijn groep heb ik een Chinees vlaggetje gekregen vastgeplakt met een pleister aan een selfiestick, zo ben ik goed te zien. Een dag later krijg ik een stok met een grote gele hand erop. Haha. Als reisbegeleidster loop ik voorop en ben ik goed te volgen. Ook zijn we naar Zhang Bi geweest, een oud kasteel waar we in tunnels hebben gelopen. Het oude verdedigingsnetwerk. Gelukkig waren de tunnels niet smal en laag.
En dan een nieuwe ervaring voor mij; met de hogesnelheidstrein in 3 uur naar Xi 'an. Gemiddeld 245 km per uur. Xi 'an was ooit hoofdstad van China in de tijd van de zijderoute. De invloeden zijn nog duidelijk te zien.
Een moslimwijk vol restaurantjes, zeer zeer druk, schapenvlees geroosterd op takjes van een boom. Keiharde muziek, gesluierde meisjes/vrouwen, jongens/mannen met t traditionele moslimpetje op. De grote moskee ligt midden in het centrum van alle restaurantjes.
De bezienswaardigheid van Xi 'an is het terracottaleger. Het leger wat onder de grond ligt en door een ploegende boer in 1974 bij toeval ontdekt is. Drie grote hallen herbergen kleien poppen op ware mensen grote met ieder een ander gezicht. Zij beschermen het graf van de eerste keizer van China.
Paarden van klei en dit alles in prachtige kleuren. De kleuren vervagen als het in aanraking komt met zuurstof/ buitenlucht. Maar de vele foto's die ervan gemaakt zijn is geweldig om te zien.
En nu dus bijna in Chengdu na een treinreis van 17 uur.
De groep Belgen is rustig, ik heb er maar 5. Drie hebben ervoor gekozen de nacht door te brengen in de luxere zachte slaapplaats wagon waar je met 4 slaapt en een deur dicht kan doen.
Ik heb de nacht doorgebracht in de harde slaapplaats met 3 bedden boven elkaar en een open wagon. Totaal 132 bedden. Gezellig maar typisch Chinees. Een luxe van 3 wasbakken waar menig Chinees naast tanden poetsen ook rochels in spuugt. Dit alles met een schrappend geluid in de keel en dan flink lawaai maken met het uitspugen.
Gelukkig is dat nog niet veranderd. Daarom hou ik zo van het land China.

Maar eerst waar ik gebleven was, Pingyao, ooit het financiële handelscentrum van China. Eeuwen terug in de tijd, de oude stadsmuren om de nauwe straatjes. Omdat er geen auto's mogen rijden zijn er golfkarretjes die mensen vervoeren.
Ons Guesthouse is geweldig, een rustige binnenplaats met onze kamers er omheen. Sommige hebben nog een oude bedstee om in te slapen.
We slenteren wat rond, helaas zijn er honderden toeristische winkeltjes, maar er zijn gelukkig nog genoeg oude koopmanshuizen. Cultuur is hier bewaard gebleven.
Als excursie zijn we naar het fort van de familie Wang geweest. Hun bezit was 250.000 vierkante meter groot. Talloze gedecoreerde binnenplaatsen. Huizen ingericht met prachtige Chineese kunst en oude meubels.
Van iemand in mijn groep heb ik een Chinees vlaggetje gekregen vastgeplakt met een pleister aan een selfiestick, zo ben ik goed te zien. Een dag later krijg ik een stok met een grote gele hand erop. Haha. Als reisbegeleidster loop ik voorop en ben ik goed te volgen. Ook zijn we naar Zhang Bi geweest, een oud kasteel waar we in tunnels hebben gelopen. Het oude verdedigingsnetwerk. Gelukkig waren de tunnels niet smal en laag.
En dan een nieuwe ervaring voor mij; met de hogesnelheidstrein in 3 uur naar Xi 'an. Gemiddeld 245 km per uur. Xi 'an was ooit hoofdstad van China in de tijd van de zijderoute. De invloeden zijn nog duidelijk te zien.
Een moslimwijk vol restaurantjes, zeer zeer druk, schapenvlees geroosterd op takjes van een boom. Keiharde muziek, gesluierde meisjes/vrouwen, jongens/mannen met t traditionele moslimpetje op. De grote moskee ligt midden in het centrum van alle restaurantjes.
De bezienswaardigheid van Xi 'an is het terracottaleger. Het leger wat onder de grond ligt en door een ploegende boer in 1974 bij toeval ontdekt is. Drie grote hallen herbergen kleien poppen op ware mensen grote met ieder een ander gezicht. Zij beschermen het graf van de eerste keizer van China.
Paarden van klei en dit alles in prachtige kleuren. De kleuren vervagen als het in aanraking komt met zuurstof/ buitenlucht. Maar de vele foto's die ervan gemaakt zijn is geweldig om te zien.
En nu dus bijna in Chengdu na een treinreis van 17 uur.
De groep Belgen is rustig, ik heb er maar 5. Drie hebben ervoor gekozen de nacht door te brengen in de luxere zachte slaapplaats wagon waar je met 4 slaapt en een deur dicht kan doen.
Ik heb de nacht doorgebracht in de harde slaapplaats met 3 bedden boven elkaar en een open wagon. Totaal 132 bedden. Gezellig maar typisch Chinees. Een luxe van 3 wasbakken waar menig Chinees naast tanden poetsen ook rochels in spuugt. Dit alles met een schrappend geluid in de keel en dan flink lawaai maken met het uitspugen.
Gelukkig is dat nog niet veranderd. Daarom hou ik zo van het land China.
